IRTS holding Sports Radio Industry Panel

The International Radio and Television Society (IRTS) Foundation, with the participation of ESPN Audio, will present an industry panel discussion on the “Sports Radio Business 24/7”, June 3rd 2008 from 12:45pm to 2:00pm at The Graduate Center/CUNY (365 Fifth Avenue at 34th Street, first floor, Elebash Recital Hall).  A “Ball Park” light lunch reception will precede the discussion at 11:45am in the ninth floor Skylight Room.


Sports and radio are a powerful combination. No matter what the season, market, or time of day, there’s a large audience engrossed in the topic of sports. The radio industry long ago learned to execute sports programming that keeps listeners and advertisers excited. Now satellite, Internet and mobile radio further enhance 24/7 coverage. The panelists will discuss the continued dominance of sports radio. Mike Golic and Mike Greenberg, co-hosts of ESPN Radio’s “Mike & Mike In The Morning”, will begin the discussion with special introductory remarks.
