Isobar, the largest global digital marketing network, announced it is further expanding its operations in Canada with the opening of Ammo Marketing in Toronto.  Ammo, acquired by Isobar in 2006, is the original influencer marketing agency, headquartered in San Francisco with offices in New York.

In June 2008, Isobar opened search marketing agency iProspect and also acquired digital marketing firm Mindblossom November 2007, both in Toronto.  Ammo Marketing in Toronto will be supervised by Daren Trousdell, COO of Isobar Canada.  Ammo’s vision and global strategy will continue to be directed by Ammo President Julian Aldridge.

Ammo Marketing works with clients such as Beam Global Wine and Spirits, Electronic Arts, Reebok, Philips and TiVo, providing word of mouth, influencer and grassroots marketing strategy and program execution.

“CMOs are increasingly looking to increase their return on marketing investment so influencer marketing is taking a larger slice of the media spend. Word of mouth recommendation is the number one factor influencing purchases in every single consumer category, and since 78% of those recommendations happen face-to-face, marketers have to engage in those conversations offline as well as online.” said Aldridge. “Ammo’s mission is simple: to stimulate positive, long-term conversations about our client’s brands. We design strategic programs around what really matters to influencers in each category – ensuring that they tell their friends, who engage their communities, and so on – building enduring brand advocacy from the ground-up.”
