J.G. Wentworth on 2/21 launched the next round of creative in their longtime “It’s Your Money” campaign—this time animating their spokesman J.G. Wentworth himself. The new 30 second TV spots, as always, end with the spokesman telling customers that “It’s your money, use it when you need it.” However, this time he’s a cartoon character. Karlin+Pimsler handled, via classic 2D animation in the two new commercials.
The effort aims to keep the momentum going for J.G. Wentworth, the financial services firm that specializes in purchasing structured settlements and annuities from individuals.
The spots include fan parodies and mash-ups. It’s a DR effort, so they have to create leads coupled with compelling entertainment, according to Mal Karlin, President and Executive Creative Director of Karlin+Pimsler.
He tells RBR-TVBR the new spots are airing on Cheaters, History Channel, TBS, TVLand and some local spot markets.
