After wrapping up her first season as a judge on Fox’s “American Idol,” Jennifer Lopez is hedging her bets on whether or not she’ll return next season. In an in-studio interview at BBC 1 Radio in the UK, J-Lo insisted she is “on the fence about it,” but hasn’t yet been forced to decide.
“That is the question of the hour,” Lopez said when host Scott Mills asked if she would return for Season 11 of Idol. “I don’t know. I don’t know. I haven’t been forced to make a decision – and I’m glad about that, because honestly I’m very kind of on the fence about it.”
The singer/actress/reality show judge indicated that she liked being on Idol, but noted that she has a lot of other things going on as well. In particular, she likes acting, but hasn’t done a movie in over two years.
“I had an amazing time doing it,” J-Lo said of Idol. “I loved it, but I have a lot of other things happening. It’s going to come down to a choice of what I really want to do for the next year.”
J-Lo is interviewed by Scott Mills on BBC 1 Radio in the video below. The discussion of American Idol begins just after the six minute mark.
