James Carville, notable political consultant and New Orleans resident, will be the opening keynote speaker for Media Finance Focus 2019, the 59th annual conference for the Media Financial Management Association (MFM) and its BCCA subsidiary, the media industry’s credit association.
The conference, themed “Big Ideas in the Big Easy,” is a must-attend for all media and entertainment finance professionals. It will be held May 20-22 at the Hilton New Orleans Riverside, New Orleans, LA.
Carville has guided the winning political campaigns of local, state and national candidates since 1986 when he began an unprecedented winning streak that included the winning presidential campaign of William Jefferson Clinton in 1992. His prolific career, along with that of George Stephanopoulos, was the focus of the feature length Academy Award nominated documentary “War Room.” In addition to political consulting, Carville is an author and a regular contributor on television and radio.
“We are extremely pleased to have Louisiana native James Carville join us to open our 59th annual conference in the Big Easy,” said Mary M. Collins, president and CEO of MFM and BCCA. “Carville is the epitome of ‘big ideas’; we expect his keynote to be particularly relevant and inspirational for our conference attendees.”
