KIROBonneville’s News-Talk KIRO Radio 97.3 FM Seattle announced the addition of The Jason Rantz Show to the weekday lineup from 7 to 10 p.m. The show moves to weeknights after being the featured program on KIRO Radio Weekends for more than a year. During that time period, the show delivered quite the buzz, garnering coverage by The Seattle Times, KING-TV, and other outlets for his recurring stable of influential guests and breaking stories.

Rantz takes listeners on a thoughtful and provocative, in-depth look at the biggest local and national stories of the day, often talking to experts, newsmakers and celebrities for a variety of perspectives. He describes the show as a meeting place for civil but engaging discussion on pop culture, politics and current events. He prides himself on talking to people he disagrees with, in order to learn, grow and evolve on the issues facing us all.

“I’m excited by the opportunity to talk with Western Washington as a part of KIRO’s weekday team,” says Rantz. “I’ve enjoyed interacting and engaging the KIRO Radio listeners during my previous weekend show and now I’m thrilled to bring this same dynamic to weeknights. There are so many important issues affecting our community and the nation, and it is vital that we come together to have a civil but challenging and vigorous discussion. I hope my evening show will become that forum.”

Rantz has worked in Seattle radio for more than five years. Prior to moving to the Northwest, he spent time in Los Angeles as an on-air personality and producer for KLSX-FM, as a producer for KFI-AM, and executive producer for the Phil Hendrie Show on Talk Radio Network.
