His resume includes stints at such famous Chicago radio stations as WLS-AM and WGN-AM. His LinkedIn profile notes that from 1978 to 1980 he was an actor, signed to Universal Pictures.

There’ll be no acting for Jeff Hill as of today: He’s just been appointed VP/Sales for the Windy City signals owned by one of the nation’s biggest radio broadcasting companies.

That company is Cumulus Media, and in an newly created role he will oversee sales for Alternative WKQX-FM 101.1 “Q101”; Classic Hits WLS-FM 94.7; and a station he’s very familiar with: Talker WLS-AM 890.

From 1998-2006 Hill was a sales manager for ABC Radio, after serving for a year as WLS-AM’s LSM. In May 2006, he jumped to Tribune’s News/Talk WGN-AM 720 in Chicago, where he’s served as Director of Sales for the past eight years following roles as LSM and interim GM.

He’s also been LSM for the former WCKG-FM in Chicago, under CBS Radio ownership.

Hill reports to Cumulus Media/Chicago VP/Market Manager Marv Nyren. He said, “Jeff’s success in Chicago will allow our cluster to continue to build relationships with the ad community and compete at the highest levels of performance.”
