Hours after posting boffo Q3 results, in particular in its Local Media division, Des Moines-based Meredith Corp. announced that it has upped its Creative Service Director at its Atlanta TV duopoly to the role of Station Manager.
Its an individual who joined Meredith five years ago after serving nearly 17 years at Cox Media Group.
Effective today, Jeff Holub will oversee WGCL-46, the Meredith-owned CBS affiliate serving Atlanta, and sibling WPCH-TV, branded as Peachtree TV.
As Station Manager, Holub will work with VP/GM Lyle Banks toward the continued creation and execution of strategic and operational goals for “CBS46” and Peachtree TV.
The Creative Services department will continue to report to him.
“I continue to be impressed by the quality of Jeff’s contributions, and his reputation as a reliable and effective leader with a passion for excellence,” said Banks. “Jeff has been instrumental in the management and growth of programs like Books to Kids, Surprise Squad, and most recently, his leadership of the Pride Parade broadcast, Super Bowl planning, and other key initiatives.
Holub joined WGCL in 2013 as Creative Services Director. Prior to that, he spent 17 years at Cox Media Group, serving as Director of Marketing for KICU & KTVU-2 in San Francisco from March 2005-March 2013. Before this, Holub was KICU Creative Services Director for nearly four years.
Holub entered the broadcast media business in March 1997, as Sports Marketing Director and Promotion Manager at WAXN & WSOC in Charlotte. Before that, he was a Communication Writer and Producer at Piedmont Natural Gas.
