SIRIUS XM Radio announced that “Support Our Shores: Jimmy Buffett & Friends Live from the Gulf Coast,” Buffett’s benefit concert in support of the Gulf Coast residents, businesses and culture, will air live on his SIRIUS XM channel, Radio Margaritaville, SIRIUS channel 31 and XM channel 55, on Thursday, July 1 beginning at 6:00 pm ET.
Buffett, who has a close personal connection to the Gulf Coast (he was born in Pascagoula, Mississippi and spent much of his childhood in Alabama), announced the relief concert live on Radio Margaritaville prior to taking the stage for his concert at the Comcast Center in Massachusetts on Saturday, June 19, which aired live on his SIRIUS XM music channel.
The free concert, which will take place on the beach in Gulf Shores, Alabama, and will also be televised on CMT, will feature performances by Zac Brown, Kenny Chesney, Jesse Winchester, Allen Toussaint and frequent Buffett collaborator Sonny Landreth.
Radio Margaritaville has broadcast every North American Jimmy Buffett concert live for the last four years.
