A decline in new unemployment claims and good earnings reports from some big banks gave stock prices a boost on Thursday. The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 46 points, or 0.4%, to 12,625. Broadcasting stocks also had a good day.
The RBR Radio Index was up 12.997, or 3.9%, to 344.569.
The TVBR Television Index was up 2.841, or 1.2%, to 246.776.
