Judge orders Ray J to pay Cox Radio $26,000

GavelA judge has ordered R&B/Hip-Hop artist Ray J to pay Cox Radio in South Carolina $25,100 for failing to turn up for a local event in 2010 and then attend a meet and greet for another 30 minutes. WJMZ-FM (107.3 Jamz) paid Ray J $20,000 and he didn’t show. So Cox filed a lawsuit and won a default judgment when Ray J failed to respond to the suit.


According to the suit, Ray blew the entire thing off, but kept the money. Cox ended up taking the SC judgment took the judgment to Ray’s home state of California. The judgment has since swelled to $26,848.
