After 18 years in sales leadership roles at Cox Media Group’s Houston station group, Judy Lakin is leaving at the end of the year.

Her successor has just been named.

Starting Dec. 17, Director/Sales duties will be handed to Todd Elbrink.

In this role, he will oversee Classic Hits KGLK-FM, Country KKBQ-FM, and Country Legends KTHT-FM, including all digital marketing solutions.

“I’m honored to join the CMG family,” Elbrink said. “Upon meeting the Houston team, I immediately felt at home. I’m eager to provide our business partners with continued unparalleled success through exceptional radio brands, digital media and research solutions.”

Elbrink joins Cox after serving as a Regional Sales Director for TWIN (Traffic, Weather, Information Network), working with Entercom Communications in Chicago. In this position, he oversaw revenue across several markets spanning from Ohio to Texas.

Elbrink has also led sales for CBS Radio’s WBBM-AM, WSCR-AM, WUSN-FM and WJMK-FM in Chicago.

“Todd has a wealth of sales industry knowledge and demonstrates strong leadership skills,” said Cox Media Group’s Houston VP/Market Manager, Mark Krieschen. “He is well-respected in our business and will be an incredible addition to our team.”
