US magazine reports that would-be rap star and former Britney Spears hubby Kevin Federline is now eying a career in radio. He's said to be in talks for a DJ slot at Clear Channel's KIIS-FM Los Angeles. The celebrity mag says the talks so far have been "informal," but quotes an insider as saying that K-Fed "really wants to be on radio."
SmartMedia observation: Back when Federline was just famous for being famous – the backup dancer who married the star, Britney – we would have dismissed the idea of him having any appeal as a radio talent. But we've come to like the guy. He has the ability to make fun of himself and roll with the punches, as shown by the Super Bowl ad he did for Nationwide Insurance, showing himself ending up in a fast food job. He certainly has Hollywood and music industry contacts which could give him some good stuff to talk about between songs on the radio.
