K-TUU, Brute? Broadcaster on the ticket

Let us be the first, and likely the only media outlet to get a Shakespeare pun out of this. With that out of the way, Gov. Sarah Palin (R-AK) is officially the candidate for Vice President, running with John McCain (R-AZ) as announced last Friday. Most of the articles out there get around to using the phrase “little known,” and one of the most little known facts (or should that be least little known facts?) is that Palin was once the weekend sports anchor at NBC KTUU-TV in Anchorage, now owned by Schurz Communications. She got that job out of college, left to pursue a career as a mother and eventually got into municipal politics in Wasilla AK. She’s been governor of Alaska for about two years.
