Nexstar Digital Brings In Brophy To Lead Lakana

The enterprise-class SaaS technology company that happens to be a wholly owned subsidiary of Nexstar Digital has just named its new SVP the Head of this entity.


Taking the dual roles at LAKANA LLC is Karen Brophy.

In her new role, Brophy will be responsible for the overall direction and management of LAKANA, including growing its current operations and launching new innovative content monetization solutions and services.

She’ll be based in Los Angeles and reports directly to Nexstar Digital President Gregory Raifman.

Brophy most recently served as SVP/Strategy and Operations at Hearst Newspapers, leading key initiatives in video, audience development and business operations. Prior to that, she spent seven years as VP/Digital Product, where she led consumer product, engineering, content strategy and revenue partnerships.

Prior roles include stints at Yahoo!, Tribune, Spin Media and The New York Times.
