SummitMedia has selected a President for its five stations in Omaha, and this radio and TV industry veteran will take oversight of KEZO-FM, KKCD-FM, KQCH-FM, KSRZ-FM and KXSP-AM starting Wednesday (2/13).

The job goes to Kathy Higgins, who most recently led sales and marketing for an IT software and consulting firm in Omaha, CATCH Intelligence.

However, Higgins spent 5 years in television and 17 years in radio. She said, “I am thrilled to be back home….these stations and the team who make them possible hold a very dear part of my heart. We look forward to continuing to improve our ability to entertain our audiences and deliver results for our clients.”

SummitMedia CEO Carl Parmer added, “We are very excited to bring Kathy back to lead our Omaha team. Her energy, competitiveness and passion will help Omaha fulfill it’s incredible potential.”

From 2009-2013, Higgins was a Sr. AE for iHeartMedia predecessor Clear Channel Radio in Omaha. From 2001-2008, she was GSM of Omaha radio stations formerly owned by Journal Broadcast Group. Those stations are now owned by SummitMedia.

She began her radio career in 1992 at KKCD, and was part of the station’s launch team when it debuted.
