Katz Media GroupKatz Media Group announced the results of its fifth annual membership drive to support the Broadcasters Foundation of America. This year’s contributions bring Katz’s total support to more than $170,000.

For more than six decades, the Broadcasters Foundation of America has provided financial assistance to those in the radio and television profession who find themselves in acute need. Many of the individuals assisted have lost their health insurance, suffered significant medical setbacks or experienced devastation due to natural disasters that leave them in need of even the most basic necessities.  The funds raised help provide them with vital medications, rehabilitation services and sometimes everyday essentials, such as food and rent.

“The Broadcasters Foundation does incredible work for those in need,” said Mark Gray, President of Katz Radio Group. “Every year, our company looks forward to the opportunity to come together and make a difference. I’m enormously proud of our employees continued dedication, which to date has raised more than $170,000 over the past five years. The contributions have even more meaning for Katz as it supports the Stu Olds Memorial Fund, in honor and memory of our former President and CEO.”

Katz initiated the first corporate membership drive in 2009. The Stu Olds Memorial Fund was established in 2011 to commemorate former KMG President and CEO, Stu Olds, who was a long-time member and Vice Chairman of the Broadcasters Foundation.
