Katz Television Group has hired a senior vice president of Political Sales, a new position.
Trevor Heaton brings 15 years of experience to the job; starting his career at Katz as a sales assistant and working his way up to director of political sales and then vice president of that department.
In his new role, Heaton will oversee the political vertical across Katz Television Group divisions, advocating local broadcasting’s unique capabilities to decision-makers in political broadcasting.
Katz Television Group President Leo MacCourtney says the new position underlines Katz Television Group’s commitment to provide advertisers with a high level of focus and expertise in the political category.
Katz Television Group represents more than 100 broadcast groups and nearly 700 television stations and their digital platforms.
Heaton will be based in Washington, DC and report to Katz Television Group COO Craig Broitman.
