The Pittsburgh Pirates and CBS Radio’s KDKA-FM, Sportsradio 93-7 The Fan signed a multi-year broadcast agreement beginning with the 2012 season. They move from Clear Channel News-Talker WPGB-FM.

The partnership calls for KDKA-FM to become the team’s new flagship, producing and broadcasting all Pirates regular and post-season games and a minimum of 16 Spring Training games each season.

In addition to the game broadcasts, Sportsradio 93-7 will air pre- and post-game shows for all 162 regular-season games, as well as the “Neal Huntington Show” prior to Sunday games. The Fan, along with sister stations NewsRadio 1020 KDKA, WBZZ-FM Star 100-7, and WDSY-FM Y108 will provide fans with Pirates programs, promotions and events. Pirates broadcasters Greg Brown, Tim Neverett, Steve Blass, Bob Walk and John Wehner will continue to call play-by-play, and will also be heard as regular guests on these stations.
