Keith Olbermann to announce his next job

The controversial former MSNBC “Countdown” host abruptly resigned last month following a stressed relationship with the network that included his 11/10 suspension over political contributions. Now on 2/8 at 11 AM ET, he announced that he’ll hold a press conference where his “new partners” will reveal “the next chapter of his remarkable career,” according to a press release.

We know he won’t end up on Fox News Channel, as News Corp. head honcho Rupert Murdoch made that clear, but there is speculation he’ll end up at CNN.

The NY Times also indicated 2/8 its sources said Olbermann may have a deal with public affairs channel Current TV, in which former VP Al Gore is a founder. The Times has heard Olbermann would have an equity stake in the cable net. Current TV also set up a presentation with advertisers 2/9 to announce its future plans, so that is fairly telling.
