Peak Broadcasting’s 103.3 Kiss Fm Radio (www.1033kissfm.com) Boise’s Number One Hit Music Station afternoon host and program director KeKe Luv (Steve Kicklighter) is running seven marathons in seven days to mark April as child abuse prevention month while raising money and awareness for this significant local cause.

103.3 Kiss Fm’s message is “It should not hurt to be a child.”

He hit the half way point of 92 miles Wednesday, finished his fourth marathon that evening, and will have three more marathons to complete by Saturday 4/25.  Keke is running through cities throughout the Treasure Valley, including Boise, Garden City, Eagle, Meridian, Caldwell, and Nampa.

Streaming Video of the marathons can be seen at www.1033KissFm.com and listeners can also find out Keke’s location on the website, as he is connected with GPS.  Each day of the run, Keke has taken a few breaks at different locations around the valley to talk with children and to pass out blue ribbons, symbolizing Child Abuse Awareness.

Keke has been receiving medical treatment and checkups to make sure he remains in good health.  He has been getting IV hydration treatments in the evenings.  He rigorously trained for this event at Gold’s Gym for the past 6 weeks, and is confident that he will be able to complete the second half of this goal.  Keke commented, “I feel pretty good at the halfway point, I’ve been fighting some troubles with my knees and ankles…but everyone we’ve met along the way and all the Kiss listeners have encouraged us to keep going”.  He continued, “It’s amazing to hear listeners sharing their deepest personal experiences and feelings about child abuse.  I know if we can help people start to talk about it and get this out in the open, then those are the first steps in making it safer for children”.
