Kelly Music Research offering 100% barter callout testing

Kelly Music Research has announced the first Local Callout research program available to Radio on a 100% straight barter basis.  After months of beta-testing its new program known as 20/20 Callout, Kelly will offer the music testing service to stations for straight barter for as little as two minutes a day.

As the Radio Industry trims staff and budgets to cope with the most devastating economic conditions in a generation, many programmers are faced with the daunting challenge of entering the Spring Book without one of their most trusted weapons – callout music research.  Particularly for Programmers in competitive, current intensive formats, it has become critical for ratings success to measure listener familiarity, appeal and fatigue for the most frequently played songs on Radio.

According to Kelly Music Research VP/GM, Paul Kelly, “We’ve offered partial barter Callout and Library Research since 2002, but this is an extraordinary economic climate.  We’ve been deluged with requests from Radio to develop an affordable local callout research program for 100% barter.  Based on results from our beta test stations, 20/20 Callout is an excellent fit.”
