Kenwood has teamed with iBiquity Digital for a radio campaign that promotes HD Radio and Kenwood’s KDC-HD545U HD CD car radio, priced at $240. The campaign, which runs from July through September, will reach the top 100 markets to promote HD Radio’s advantages, including iTunes tagging and additional HD2/HD3 digital channels. The ads will encourage consumers to visit the Kenwood USA and the HD Radio websites.

Kenwood’s KDC-HD545U iTunes Tagging and front-panel USB input to control iPods and iPhones and access the content of other USB-connected devices. The receiver is also Sirius XM-ready.

“This promotion will put the attributes of HD Radio Technology squarely on the minds of millions of consumers, and associating it with the brand awareness of Kenwood will surely create a call-to-action that will get consumers visiting authorized Kenwood retailers for a demonstration,” said Keith Lehmann, SVP/Kenwood’s Consumer Electronics Sector.
