KFOG is changing to K-PAUL

1

KFOGOn August 29, 1966, the Beatles performed their last official concert at San Francisco’s Candlestick Park.  On August 14, Candlestick’s last event will be the return of Sir Paul McCartney. In honor of this history-making performance, KFOG 104.5/97.7 becomes K-PAUL this Thursday. Beginning at 6:00 a.m. it will be all Paul, all day – with back-to-back McCartney tracks, spotlighting his vast Beatles, Wings and solo catalog.

All station assets will change to coincide with the day’s theme – the station’s logo, website (KFOG.com) and on-air features, including the KFOG favorite 10@10, featuring the set list from that 1966 concert.

KFOG midday and 10@10 host Annalisa said, “I don’t think there is any other moment-in-time, or performer, that makes better sense to take over an entire day of KFOG than Paul McCartney, with his legendary status in music and pop culture. And he is certainly one of THE most beloved performers of all time, evoking significant musical memories from every listener’s life.”
