In April 1984, Milford “Smitty” Smith joined Greater Media and enjoyed a 33-year career that concluded with the company’s sale to Beasley Broadcast Group.

But, Smith is far from retirement. He’s just joined Khanna and Guill Consulting Engineers as a Principal, and the firm has acknowledged his arrival by changing its name to Smith, Khanna and Guill.

Smitty is also the immediate past chairman of the National Radio Systems Committee, and in his new role immediately brings his broadcast engineering experience on technical challenges, FCC applications, transmission facility improvements and complex RF project management.

Smith will work directly alongside principals Sudhir “Sid” Khanna and Robert “Bob” Guill.

“I am both humbled and fortunate to join Bob and Sid in their long established, well respected practice and very much look forward to working with my many good friends in the industry in this new and exciting role,” Smith says. “I can promise a long-time broadcaster’s perspective on any project undertaken and, just as I did during my 34 years at Greater Media, promise to ‘do it right’ every time.”
