Khloe Kardashian Odom and TV host and actor Mario Lopez will host the second season, airing Wednesdays (8:00-10:00 PM ET live/PT tape-delayed) and Thursdays (8:00-9:00 PM ET live/PT tape-delayed) on FOX. Odom began her career as a television star and has helped build the Kardashian family brand on E!, while Lopez started in entertainment as a young actor and has appeared in TV, film and Broadway, and currently hosts the entertainment news magazine show, “Extra.”
Kardashian, who with her California socialite sisters Kim and Kourtney rose to fame in “Keeping Up with the Kardashians.”
Odom and Lopez will first appear as hosts during the live broadcasts of The X Factro beginning this November.
Kardashian and Lopez complete the celebrity overhaul of “The X Factor” after a disappointing first season. Britney Spears and Demi Lovato made their debut as judges in September, replacing Paula Abdul and singer Nicole Scherzinger, who were fired in January.
“The worst kept secret in Hollywood is out,” said Simon Cowell. “Mario and Khloe are our hosts. They will debut on our first live show in November and I couldn’t be happier.”
“I’m so thrilled to become a part of The X Factor family,” said Odom. “I’ve been a big fan of the show and look forward to working with Simon and all of the judges. It’s going to be so much fun!”
“I’m very excited to be joining The X Factor team,” said Lopez. “I love the show, and I’ve been a big fan of Simon Cowell and the judges for a long time. Khloe and I have been friends for years and I know we’ll be a great team and have a blast.”
