Klamath Falls cluster headed for new owner

Five stations in the portfolio of Revitalization Partners, the trustee for the old New Northwest Broadcasters group, have been sold. According to brokerage firm Kalil & Co., which handled the arrangements, the buyer is Basin Mediactive LLC.

This would appear to bring Revitalization’s resale efforts to a close. Headed by Alan Davis, it has been busily finding new owners for various stations in NWB’s western markets, which included stations in Oregon, Washington and Alaska.

A complex deal involving Townsquare Media and multiple spin-offs in the Yakima and Tri-Cities markets has drawn objections which should at the very least lengthen the time required for the FCC’s review.

This deal involves two AMs and three FMs. Included are KLAD AM-FM, KAGO AM-FM, and KYSF-FM. All are licensed to Klamath Falls save KYSF, which calls Bonanza OR its legal home.

The buyer is headed by Tor and Robert Ingstad.

Klamath Falls receives its ratings from Eastlan, which places it in the sub-300 zone on its market rank list that combines its markets with those covered by Arbitron.

Terms of the deal were not released.
