Klein Broadcast Engineering owner and principal/Managing Partner of Locally Owned Radio in Idaho Elliott Klein passed Sunday, 8/1 at 61 years old. Klein, also a consulting engineer for Liberman Broadcasting and Magic Broadcasting (KDAY), was born in NYC. His father retired at a very early age and the family moved to Phoenix in 1955, which Elliott considered his home. In the 80’s Buck Owens tapped him to work on KNIX-FM Phoenix. We interviewed Klein earlier this year on some of his stations’ successes in Boise and we also broke the story of his handling the KATY-FM HD Radio FCC Petition against CBS Radio’s KRTH-FM LA.
