Cardinal Sports, Stanford Athletics’ exclusive multimedia and marketing partner, announced that Cumulus’ KNBR-AM San Francisco will be the flagship radio partner for Stanford football and Men’s basketball broadcasts beginning this fall.
KNBR will carry all Cardinal football, men’s basketball and 10 “Inside Stanford Sports” coaches’ shows as part of a multi-year agreement with the Cardinal Sports Network. Cardinal Sports LLC, the locally based entity of collegiate multimedia rights leader Learfield Sports, manages all aspects of the broadcasts, as well as the Cardinal Sports Network.
The Cardinal’s games had aired on Comerica Bank’s (KTRB Trust) XTRA Sports 860 (KTRB) the last three years. Dave Flemming and Todd Husak will again be the announcers for football and John Platz and Drew Shiller for basketball.

In addition to Stanford, Learfield Sports manages multimedia rights for more than 50 collegiate institutions and associations including fellow Pac-12 Conference member institutions Oregon State and Colorado.
