KOA_logoNewsRadio 850 KOA, Colorado’s News, Traffic & Weather Station, announced the debut of Colorado’s Afternoon News, beginning 6/16. Additionally, Susie Wargin will join Dave Logan as afternoon co-host. Colorado’s Afternoon News will air weekdays from 3-7:00 p.m. and will bring listeners frequent news updates, traffic and weather every ten-minutes, the latest money news and sports updates.

The show will be hosted by Dave Logan and Susie Wargin from 3-5:00 p.m., featuring interviews with newsmakers and discussion of the day’s top stories. Wargin will join NewsRadio 850 KOA from KUSA-TV/9News, where she will continue to work on various projects for the station and serve as a fill-in sports anchor. Colorado’s Afternoon News will continue from 5-7:00 p.m., featuring an all-news presentation, co-anchored by Susan Witkin and Mike Rice.

“The addition of Colorado’s Afternoon News is a natural extension of KOA’s news offerings,” said Pat Connor, Market President, Clear Channel Media and Entertainment Denver. “We’re excited to welcome Susie Wargin, and are confident that she’ll be a trusted voice in the afternoon.”

  1. Sorry to have to leave you in the afternoon–you had a great show especially when it was Dave and Dave–to go back to an afternoon drive
news show–so i will go back to my old station–hopefully Dave Kreigor
will find work elsewhere since he was probably let go by KOA if he finds
work at another radio station probably will go there-
    ByeBye

  2. My comments pretty much mirror Bob Gillis. I enjoyed hearing about the sports happenings each day on my ride home and really don’t care about hearing the same news every 10 minutes. I’ve listened to KOA for my afternoon ride home sports update ever since Lois left and to hear from Dave and Dave who knew what they were talking about relative to the sports topic of the day. I also notice in the voices, people aren’t particularly happy and comfortable with the new format. I think “someone” made a decision nobody likes except them. I think “someone” decided that they needed a women’s show now. Bad mistake. The old Dave and Dave show would make me laugh. This new format is boring. I truly hope “someone” gets a clue and returns back before football season starts otherwise you will permanently loose the loyal fan-base it took years to establish. I will periodically check in with hope.

    But for now, like Bob,
    Bye Bye!
