Alpha Broadcasting’s Director of Music Programming, Scott Mahalick, has announced the launch of a new weeknight show on KUP-FM Portland. “Northwest Nights” hosted by B-Dub, effective tonight at 6pm.  With the addition of this new show to the KUPL line-up, “CMT Live with Cody Allen” will air weeknights 10pm-2am.

B-Dub is a self described true Oregonian.  Having grown up just outside of Eugene, he spent many hours watching Duck football and Blazer basketball.  His dream of working in the big city of Portland was realized in 2003 with a part time shift at KKRZ, but he’s also been on the air in Mobile, Milwaukee and most recently in Philadelphia.  His return to Oregon last March brought his high energy style to the airwaves of KUPL where he did weekend airshifts and fill in work.  B-Dub’s “Northwest Nights” on KUPL will further Alpha Broadcasting’s initiative to put live and local shows on the air in Portland.

“From the moment B-Dub walked into the station, you could feel his energy through the building,” commented Mahalick.  “His new show will be the liveliest thing going with plenty of listener interaction and great music.  It’s also important to keep our Nashville connection with Cody Allen, who brings so much credibility and a personal relationship with the biggest stars in country music.”
