Add more broadcasters to the list of entities suing Internet-TV streamer Aereo: Sinclair’s KUTV-TV (CBS) and Local TV/Tribune’s KSTU-TV Fox 13 filed a federal lawsuit 10/7 that accuses the company of illegally rebroadcasting their content.
They are specifically claiming Aereo is violating the Copyright Act because it is retransmitting their content without permission, noting that the right to stream such feeds to computers and portable devices is “extremely valuable.” The Fox Broadcasting Co. also is a plaintiff in the suit, says the Salt Lake City Tribune.
