KVSF celebrates a year of talk radio

kvsfHutton Broadcasting announced the one-year anniversary of KVSF 101.5 “The Voice of Santa Fe” and the “Julia Goldberg Morning Show.” The station’s launched its new format – a blend of community talk radio and music – in April 2013.

“Last year we saw an empty niche in Santa Fe for a radio station format that combines news, talk and music,” said Hutton owner and GM Scott Hutton. “Santa Fe embraced the station from the moment we launched and Julia Goldberg, one of the most respect journalists in town, has proven an entertaining and informative morning show host.”

Over the past year, Goldberg has broken numerous exclusive stories on air, including Mayor David Coss’s decision to withdraw from another term and the official announcements of many of the candidates –including eventual victor Javier Gonzalez – running for positions in the March city election. The Julia Goldberg Morning Show has also provided a valuable platform for Santa Fe artists and performers, social activists, local nonprofits, movers and shakers in the business community and more.

In honor of the milestone, Goldberg will host a live show, from 8-10 a.m., Friday April 25th, from the Plaza Café.
