A Local Voice For Southeastern Idaho Is Sold


The station proclaiming itself as “The Voice of Southeastern Idaho” has just been sold. The facility is a 1kw Class C AM and its two FM translators.

The buyer is a Wyoming-based company, and its our deal of the day in TRANSACTIONS TODAY.

“From Hot Springs to Mountain Lakes” is how KVSI-AM 1450 and FM 101.7, K269FQ, in Montpelier, Idaho, is marketed to local listeners and businesses.

The station offers ABC Information Network News and Westwood One’s Adult Standard music format.

Now, the facilities — along with the construction permit for unbuilt K283CX in Montpelier — are being sold by Tri-State Broadcasting to SVI Media.

The seller is led by Keith Martindale, while SVI is headed by Don Dockstader.

SVI is paying $200,000 for the three facilities, and has paid a $15,000 deposit to Martindale’s company.

The escrow payment is being held by Rockwell Media Services, the broker in this transaction.
