Lancaster LPTV sale ends FCC petition battle

Back in 2009, Adelman Broadcasting Inc. tried to block moves of Venture Technologies Group regarding its KNLA-LD Los Angeles CA, and VTG responded in kind by going after ABI’s KEDD-LP Lancaster CA. But all such actions are being withdrawn as VTG files to acquire the station it once filed against.

A condition of sale is the prompt withdrawal of petitions and objections filed by both parties.

ABI kicked off the battle with an informal objection to KNLA’s application for a license to cover filed 7/15/09. VTG responded with its objection against KEDD 10/29/09.

The price for KEDD will be $210K cash. In addition, VTG will pay up to $15K of ABI’s legitimate expenses incurred during the regulatory skirmish.

ATG is headed by Robert Adelman; VTG by Paul Koplin.
