Duke Wright’s Midwest Communications has closed on its acquisition of a four-station cluster in the Lansing-East Lansing MI market, serving the capital city of the state of Michigan, according to broker Dick Foreman. The seller was Rubber City Radio Group.

The stations include WJXQ-FM, WVIC-FM, WQTX-FM and WJZL-FM. The price was $4.1M.

According to Foreman, Rubber City, under the leadership of Thomas Mandel, remains active in the Akron OH radio market. Midwest holds 43 additional radio stations, including properties in Michigan markets Grand Rapids and Kalamazoo.
