Xbox Live Gold users can now get access to Last.fm, Facebook and Twitter through a simple dashboard update. The Last.fm streaming music app allows users to select a narrowcast or order music channel and weed through the songs they like and dislike. Users can also now check Twitter updates and post tweets from their TV. They can also check updates in Facebook, post in-game achievements to their news feed and view photos of friends.

The Xbox Live update also incorporates instant on HD in 1080p and 5.1 channel surround sound for Zune videos.

Meanwhile, Sony is starting its Facebook integration with three Facebook Connect features, reports the San Francisco Chronicle. Users will be able to share trophy and game purchase information on their news feed. Developers will also be able to post information about upcoming game events.
