As a result of Last.fm’s partnership with Microsoft’s Xbox LIVE, which incorporates the music discovery service into the popular gaming platform, Last.fm has generated nearly one million new registrants in the U.S. and U.K since the launch of the application on 11/17.  Last.fm created more new user profiles within 24 hours of the launch than at any other time in the service’s history – signing up Xbox LIVE members at an average of 300 per minute.

Additionally, more than 120 million minutes of Last.fm music have been streamed through the Xbox 360 in the U.S. and U.K. since the application debuted last week.

David Goodman, President of the CBS Interactive Music Group said, “Last.fm continues to drive innovation by creating unique and customized user experiences.  Our impressive statistics since launch prove that Last.fm is taking the gaming platform by storm, and we look forward to the next big opportunity to engage our audience and expose new users to our world-class brand.”

Xbox LIVE users can now stream Last.fm’s millions of track through their television for the ultimate auditory and visual music experience.  Like on the website, users are able to create personalized radio stations, skip, ban or love tracks, and interact with fellow users.
