 CBS’s LATE SHOW with DAVID LETTERMAN delivered its most competitive second quarter against “The Tonight Show” in viewers and key demographics since 1995, according to Nielsen most current ratings for the second quarter ending the week of June 25.


In the second quarter, LATE SHOW delivered a 2.3/06 with 3.28m viewers, 1.2/05 in adults 25-54, 0.9/04 in adults 18-49 and 0.6/03 in adults 18-34.  LATE SHOW was in its most competitive position against “The Tonight Show” in households (-0.5), viewers (-746,000), adults 25-54 (-0.2) and adults 18-49 (-0.2) in a second quarter since 1995, and in adults 18-34 (-0.2) since 1996. 
 
In the most recent week ending June 25, LATE SHOW was up +10% in adults 25-54 (1.1/04 from 1.0/04), +20% in adults 18-34 (0.6/03 from 0.5/02) and even in adults 18-49 (0.8/04) compared to the same week last year, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings.  
 
  In the second quarter, LATE LATE SHOW delivered a 1.3/04 with 1.70m viewers, 0.7/04 in adults 25-54, 0.5/03 in adults 18-49 and 0.4/02 in adults 18-34.  In the second quarter, LATE LATE SHOW was first in viewers, tied for first in adults 25-54 and was a competitive second in both adults 18-49 and adults 18-34.

In the most recent week ending June 25, LATE LATE SHOW was up +20% in adults 25-54 (0.6/03 from 0.5/03), +25% in adults 18-49 (0.5/03 from 0.4/03) and even in adults 18-34 (0.3/02) compared to the same week last year.
