If you are old enough to remember the Barry Levinson-lensed film Rain Man, you know that, in the 1980s, WOXY-FM 97.7 in Mason, Ohio was a Modern Rock station branded as “97X — the Future of Rock and Roll.”
It’s been nearly 15 years since those days. WOXY is presently airing Spanish-language programming as “La Mega.” Its AM sibling in the state capital offers a mix of gospel and Christian-themed shows.
The owner of the AM-FM combo has now decided to sell the stations.
