The author of the book “Leadership Endurance” is hosting a free video conference on Wednesday to help radio and other leaders cope with the COVID-19 pandemic.

Concurrently, the Managing Partner of InTown Media is asking a select group of broadcasters to join him in a short beta of a new weekly online video meeting for broadcasters who are isolated and working from home.

Positive Alternative Radio EVP Brian Sanders will be leading a discussion among leaders of radio stations, religious and secular in nature, and Christian ministries on the topic of “Leadership During Crisis: How to Endure with Hope.”

The event will be held at 9am Pacific/Noon Eastern on Wednesday (3/25) as a Zoom Video Conference.

“In the live video conference, he will be totally transparent about what our radio group has done to immediately cut costs and prepare for a long, challenging season ahead,” PAR VP/Creative Services Jerry Grimes says. “Leaders are encouraged to join and share their own stories and ideas.”

Sanders added, “I’ll also be sharing some insights on how to encourage your team to innovate in the midst of the struggle, how to keep yourself and other people motivated, and how to last as a leader even when the stress seems unbearable.”

PAR owns and operates stations including WCQR-FM in Johnson City, Tenn.

In Kirkland, Wash., InTown Media Managing Partner Jackson Dell Weaver is readying the launch of “No Fear Café.” It’s poised to be a weekly, free online video meeting for broadcasters, with community and connection the goal.

“The video part of the meeting is important – it’s a much better experience than just a conference call, but not everyone has to be on camera,” Weaver says. “We will certainly talk about our substantial business challenges, but more importantly it’s a chance to check in, catch up and share.”

The virtual cafe will be open at Noon ET on Tuesdays, for 30 minutes.

Details are forthcoming.
