The Telos Alliance, parent company to Telos, Omnia, Axia, Linear Acoustic, 25-Seven, and Minnetonka, is partnering with FiDef to bring four world-renowned producers, mixers, and engineers to participate in a Legends of Audio roundtable discussion.

Scheduled to “recount tales of studio magic,” while also sharing their experiences with FiDef technology, are Gary Katz, Al Schmitt, Frank Filipetti, and Ed Cherney.

Katz is a producer who has worked with the late Joe Cocker and Steely Dan.

Schmitt is a Grammy-winning engineer and producer who has also worked with Steely Dan, and with Michael Jackson, Diana Krall and George Benson.

Filipetti is a Grammy-winning engineer, mixer and producer and has worked with KISS, Frank Zappa, Foreigner, Carly Simon and James Taylor.

Cherney is also a Grammy-winning engineer, mixer, and producer. He’s worked with The Rolling Stones, Eric Clapton, Sting and Bonnie Raitt.

What is FiDef?

“FiDef processing improves and naturally enhances detail, clarity, and impact to an audio signal,” claims Omnia Audio founder Frank Foti, who also serves as Executive Chairman of the Telos Alliance.

FiDef technology will be debuted at NAB, where Omnia staff will be demonstrating the technology live for listeners to hear. The tool replaces essential audio cues lost in the recording process and “activates the full potential of our auditory systems, providing a more engaging, emotional, and accurate listening experience,” Omnia boasts.

The Legends of Audio session will be held on Tuesday, April 10 at 2pm in the Telos Alliance radio booth (#N6531).
