Katz Media Group is believed to be in the midst of drawing up contracts to rep a number of former Interep clients, after signing the two biggest, CBS Radio and Entercom, last week. Katz officially announced yesterday that it will represent the 44 stations of Beasley Broadcast Group and the 15 stations of Lincoln Financial Media. Look for more signings to come quickly. After all, Interep is no longer selling national spot radio for anyone.

“Lincoln Financial is excited to have the Katz Radio Group’s high-caliber sales team represent our stations. By teaming up with Katz, we anticipate benefiting from its long history of excellent client service, strong sales infrastructure and deep agency relationships,” said Don Benson, President and CEO of Lincoln Financial Media in the announcement distributed by Katz.

Effective yesterday, December 1st, the 15 Lincoln Financial Media stations in Atlanta, Denver, Miami and San Diego are being repped by Katz Radio Group, headed by President Mark Gray.

Likewise for the 44 Beasley stations in 11 large and mid-sized markets, including the major market clusters in Philadelphia, Miami and Las Vegas.

“We very much look forward to fostering a relationship with Katz, and to working with these long-time radio professionals. I believe this affiliation will be advantageous for both companies and will create a new vision for developing deeper relationships with the advertising community,” said Bruce Beasley, President and COO of Beasley Broadcast Group.
