The Omaha NE market will be getting another over-the-air viewing option for Spanish-speaking residents, as LBI’s Estrella network finds a home on a digital side-channel of KPTM-TV.

The station is owned by New World TV Group, and was formerly a Pappas Telecasting station. It carries Fox on its main stream and MyNetworkTV on side channel #2. Estrella will be the station’s third stream.

“We are confident that Estrella TV’s hit programming will be well received by Omaha viewers, providing KPTM with a clear advantage over the other Spanish language networks in the market,” said LBI CEO Lenard Liberman. “The network is steadily becoming part of affiliate station’s long-range plan to serve a growing Hispanic community.”
