Liberman rides new station into the black

Get a new station, increase your income – that’s the story at Liberman Broadcasting Inc. Its overall revenues for Q1 2008 were up 5% to $26.4M. Much of that gain was fueled by the acquisition of  KRQB-FM in the Riverside/San Bernardino market. It contributed to a gain of $1.7 million, or 13.5%, to $13.7M. Television was down about 3% to $12.7M. One of its TV hurdles was the loss of revenue from a San Diego station burned in the October 2007 wildfires, partially offset by the addition of a new station in the Salt Lake City market.
