Jerry Falwell Jr. has had his been working his broadcast contract-signing pen of late, and now has another deal filed with the FCC to pick up a station that will constitute a territorial expansion from the Liberty University Roanoke-Lynchburg roots.

The station isn’t built, but it does have call letters – they are WHMM-FM, for a facility earmarked for Spotsylvania VA. That town is within the sphere of the Fredericksburg VA Arbitron market.

The seller is Mariamante Academy Inc., headed by Louise S. Desilets. The academy will pick up $145K cash in exchange for the CP.

The station will be a Class A on 88.3 MHz with 2.5 kw @ 266’.

Liberty has been making modest acquisitions in Virginia and in northern portions of North Carolina.
