TORONTO — One of the world’s largest manufacturers of AM and FM radio broadcast transmitters, based in the Nova Scotia town of Hackett’s Cove, has determined who will replace the retiring Gary Liebisch as Eastern USA Sales Manager.

Taking Liebisch’s role is Ted Nahil, who was most recently the Southeast Regional Sales Manager for GatesAir.

There, Nahil also served as a Business Development and Channel manager for the Intraplex product line. His industry experience dates to 2000 and includes sales management positions at ERI, APT and Harris/Intraplex. In addition, Nahil independently operated a technical, engineering and sales consulting company specializing in the broadcast industry.

“Ted’s broad-ranging experience and technical knowledge will be highly valuable to Nautel customers in the Eastern USA,” said Wendell Lonergan, Nautel’s Head of Broadcast Sales. “He has in-depth knowledge of all aspects of a transmission site as well as the integration of those sites. We are happy to welcome him to the Nautel team.”

More than 16,000 Nautel transmitters have been deployed in over 177 countries since 1970, with more than 8,000 deployments of AUI-enabled transmitters.
