Conservative talker Rush Limbaugh is still rooting for President Obama to fail, and since the US now owns 60% of GM, he says that makes it Obama’s company. Therefore, he wants GM to fail. Limbaugh didn’t specifically call for a boycott the company, but said he could understand why potential buyers would avoid it as it struggles to get back on its feet. “They don’t want to patronize Obama,” he said. “They don’t want to do anything to make Obama’s policies work.”
RBR/TVBR observation: We don’t know how far down the road Mr. Limbaugh’s program is sold out for, but we believe most broadcasters would be more inclined to see GM enjoy some success and start spending money with broadcasters again. If Limbaugh is going to take himself off of the buy for ideological reasons, there are many who will try to get in on the buy for financial reasons.
