Clear Channel’s Hot AC WLND-FM “My 98.1” has flipped (9/2) to Variety Hits “98.1 The Lake.” “We play anything” is the imaging and it backs it up with Listener Driven Radio technology. Listeners are controlling what the station plays online via their smartphones, PCs and laptops at www.981thelake.com.
RBR-TVBR asked LDR CEO Daniel Anstandig:
How can digital technology like LDR help save a station’s ratings in a market?
“The LDR platform is built to grow a station’s ratings, revenue, and web traffic. Our team of twelve people works with a station to implement LDR from a web and engineering standpoint. We write liners and imaging that the station can use to position LDR on the air. LDR also offers sales support to each affiliate, helping them to sell sponsorships on the platform. Many of our affiliates have sold major sponsorships to monetize LDR.”
Do you have any brief examples of how LDR has turned ratings around for client stations?
“We have seen ratings increase in PPM and diary markets alike where clients are using Listener Driven Radio’s software. KOOO/Omaha went from a 1.9 share to a 4.3 with Women 25-54 using Listener Driven Radio’s LDR.1 product. WTMX/Chicago and WARH/St. Louis have both had meteoric ratings increases using LDR.Takeover at night. WARH has reached new highs with Persons 25-54 audiences at night.”
LDR now has over 100 affiliates, including Oasis Radio Group, Hubbard Broadcasting’s 106.5 The Arch St. Louis, WIOQ-FM Philadelphia, KOOO-FM Omaha, KDRF-FM Albuquerque, KLOS-FM Los Angeles; KSTP-FM Minneapolis, KIMN-FM Denver, WDAS-FM Philadelphia, WRFF-FM Philadelphia, KCKC-FM Kansas City, CKEA-FM Edmonton, 96.5 KISS FM Cleveland, WISX-FM Philadelphia, WAXQ-FM New York, WNIC-FM Detroit, WTMX-FM Chicago and Air1 Radio Network.
