Living Well goes in search of homegrown cooks

Rather than a celebrity cooking show, the Living Well Network is sending a celebrity out to find everyday people who are great cooks. Joey Fatone may need to resurrect his “Dancing with the Stars” routine to keep the weight off as he goes in search of great food on the new series “My Family Recipe Rocks!”

Each episode has the former *NSYNC star knocking on the door of a person known in the neighborhood for an outstanding dish — whether it’s a killer spaghetti sauce or mouth-watering ribs, off the kitchen stove or the backyard barbeque, an old family recipe or a sumptuous new creation. Interviews with friends and family connect viewers to the cook in the spotlight, as they share heart-warming memories and other compelling anecdotes about the person behind the recipe. “My Family Recipe Rocks!” is produced by ABC owned KFSN-TV in Fresno, California.

“My Family Recipe Rocks! is about much more than cooking,” explained Peggy Allen, Vice President, Programming, the Live Well Network. “It’s about everyday people who are passionate about life, cooking and the joy that comes from making that special dish for family and friends. Joey Fatone’s down-to-earth charm, quick wit and utter delight with a great meal make him a welcome guest in their homes.”
